Ledger Live is a powerful companion app for your Ledger hardware wallet. It provides a secure and user-friendly interface for managing your crypto assets. While it offers robust features, many users must realize how customizable their experience can be.
- Customize Your Dashboard
The dashboard is your command centre in Ledger Live and is highly customizable. To start, you choose which accounts to display prominently. Click on the “Edit” button at the top right corner of the dashboard, and drag and drop your accounts to reorder them or hide less frequently used ones. You can also customize the main chart on your dashboard. Click on the dropdown menu above the chart to switch between different periods (1D, 1W, 1M, 1Y, etc.) or to change the displayed metric (Total Balance, Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).

You rename your accounts for easier identification, change the unit display (e.g., from BTC to satoshis), and even assign custom colours to each account for visual distinction. To access these options, navigate to the specific account, click on the three dots at the top right corner, and select “Edit account.”

Stay informed about your portfolio with personalized notifications. In the Settings menu, navigate to the “Accounts” section, where you can turn various notifications on or off. You can receive alerts for incoming or outgoing transactions or even set up custom price alerts for specific assets.

While Ledger Live defaults to displaying values in your local currency, you can easily change this. In the Settings menu, under “General,” you select your preferred currency from various options. This affects how your portfolio value and transaction amounts are displayed throughout the app.

The Markets section of Ledger Live provides a wealth of information, and you can customize it to focus on the data that matters most to you. You can sort assets by various metrics, filter by those you or watch, and even create a personalized watch list of assets you’re interested in tracking.
- Optimize App Performance
Ledger Live is designed to be efficient, but you can further optimize its performance to suit your device and usage patterns. In the Settings menu, under “Advanced,” you adjust settings like “Auto-lock timeout” and “Countervalues source” to fine-tune the app’s behaviour.
